Herbaceous plants die down with the winter frost and if it is a perennial, grows back again even stronger the next and following summers. Annuals last just the one summer, and biennials, like foxgloves, well they grow a rosette of leaves in year one then flower in year two.

There are literally thousands of varieties and cultivars in existence and no nursery can offer the full range, so we keep a broad a spread as possible during the spring and summer.
